Digital Cameras Are Getting Smaller With More High Tech Features

Digital Cameras and their Predecessors

Digital Cameras come in all shapes and sizes, with a plethora of features differing from company to company and specific camera models. Once you step into a store to buy a digital, you will find a number of brands in front of you, so it is important to know what you need in a camera.

These brands vary greatly from different companies and are marketed, based on a number of factors. The store-keeper cannot be equipped with all the information about all the products, hence digital cameras are bought based on your own needs, research and any help the store owner can provide.

Digital cameras are classified on the basis of zoom-capacity, picture-clarity, memory-capacity, focus ability, brand, lens-quality, webcam feature and many more. Number of companies like Kodak, Wespro, Nikon, Canon, Sony, Olympus, Casio, and Panasonic are some of the camera manufacturing companies which cater to the camera section with the help of a team of technologists, who work constantly to upgrade the cameras and work towards satisfying customer demand.

The range of digital cameras start from as low as $75, consisting of only the basic features. The more expensive the camera, the higher the price. In terms of Megapixel it ranges from 1 to 10+ mega pixels. This factor defines the clarity of the image and whether you’re shooting still photos or videos.

Another important feature to consider in digital cameras is zoom capability.  By how far a picture can be clicked is decided by the zoom of the camera. In case of 1x camera configuration, pictures at short distances are clear and sharp in image while 8x digital cameras can capture photos of very distant subjects.

Digital Cameras with higher memory capacity will cost more than the cameras which are configured with lesser memory. Lenses also decide the cost of the camera. You should study all of the features of a camera and decide which features you really need.
